Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Electronic Repair Technician to join our team. This role involves troubleshooting and repairing all types of Spartek Systems manufactured surface and downhole logging instruments, sub-assemblies, accessories, wire-harnesses and PCB's as needed. Use of low and high temperature solder as required for each product type. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, mechanical aptitude, and experience working with electronic components and ability to read schematics.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair Spartek Systems manufactured equipment at the board-level and system level relying on systematic trouble-shooting techniques
- Conduct board level and system level testing of surface and downhole equipment
- Utilize application software to configure, test, and record performance data on equipment
- Identify, report and assist others in determining root-cause failures related to all aspects associated with assembly or instrumentation and equipment
- Interpret field documented symptoms and reports to aid in the diagnosis/repair process
- Use of proper soldering techniques as defined and required by Spartek Systems
- make entries in database as needed
- Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams and work instructions
- Proficient use of electronic measurement equipment such as scopes, meters and other lab instruments
- Abide by all company established HSE safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
Electronics Diploma from technical institute
Experience working with electronic oilfield equipment would be beneficial.
Fluent in English.
Must be a Canadian Citizen or have Permanent Residence status.
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
