- About Our Summer Camp: Join our vibrant and engaging Summer Camp 2026, where we inspire young minds through a diverse range of educational and recreational activities! Our camp focuses on fostering essential life skills, creativity, and teamwork in a fun and supportive environment. We offer themed weeks such as Listening & Focus, Hygiene & Self-Care, Organization Skills, Manners & Etiquette, Social Skills, Leadership & Kindness, Safety & Problem Solving, and our exciting new Builder Week and Financial Literacy Week.
Role Overview:
- We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers aged 16+ to assist our camp staff in delivering an unforgettable summer experience for children aged 6-12. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience in childcare, education, and leadership, while making a positive impact on young campers.
- Key Responsibilities: Assist camp counsellors and staff with daily activities and supervision of campers.
- Support the implementation of themed weekly activities (e.g., STEM projects for Builder Week, games for Financial Literacy Week).
- Help facilitate arts & crafts, team-building games, and outdoor play. Encourage positive social interactions and assist with conflict resolution.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers at all times. Assist with meal times, snack breaks, and general camp organization.
- Participate in daily clean-up and preparation for the next day's activities.
- Qualifications: Must be at least 16 years old by [July 06, 2026].
- Enthusiasm for working with children and a positive attitude.Reliable, responsible, and punctual.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Prior experience with children (e.g., babysitting, tutoring, youth groups) is an asset.
- Ability to commit to a minimum of one month of camp.
