Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Rough Terrain Crane Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating rough terrain cranes to lift, move, and position heavy materials on construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of crane operations, rigging, and mechanical systems, with excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and clients. Multilingual abilities are a plus to facilitate clear communication across diverse teams. Duties
- Operate rough terrain cranes safely and efficiently to lift and move heavy loads according to project specifications
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on crane equipment to ensure operational safety
- Coordinate with ground personnel using clear communication signals or radio to execute lifts accurately
- Rig loads securely using appropriate rigging techniques and equipment
- Assist with setup, leveling, and positioning of the crane on various terrains
- Follow all safety protocols and adhere to OSHA regulations during operations
- Maintain detailed logs of crane usage, inspections, and maintenance activities
- Collaborate with construction teams to plan lifting sequences and ensure timely completion of tasks
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with crane systems when necessary
- Provide excellent customer service by maintaining professionalism and safety standards at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience operating rough terrain cranes in construction or similar environments
- Valid crane operator certification/license with relevant experience in boom trucks or similar machinery
- Strong rigging skills and mechanical knowledge related to crane operation and maintenance
- Ability to operate forklifts or other construction equipment is a plus
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities preferred for effective communication across diverse teams
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients on-site
- Knowledge of safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and best practices in crane operation
- Construction industry experience highly desirable
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift heavy loads safely
- Strong attention to detail, safety consciousness, and teamwork-oriented attitude
Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour
