ENERCON is seeking a Materials Coordinator – Projects to support its wind turbine installation projects across Canada. Reporting to the Projects team, the incumbent will provide operational support for the day-to-day management of tools and equipment used on construction sites.
This role is project-based and requires moving from one project to another nationwide (Canada coast to coast), depending on installation progress. Some activities may also be performed at our Boucherville logistics centre, based on operational needs. The Materials Coordinator will work closely with the Construction Manager, project teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure efficient, safe, and seamless material management.
- Support the Construction Manager and supervisors with on-site activities across various projects throughout Canada
- Ensure continuity of material management when transitioning from one project to another
- Manage tools and equipment on site, including receiving, inventory control, distribution, returns, and shipping
- Coordinate material orders, transportation, and transfers between sites, warehouses, and subcontractors
- Maintain accurate inventory records in SAP in accordance with internal processes
- Participate in project team meetings to anticipate tools and equipment requirements
- Prepare, assemble, and optimize tool kits for installation projects
- Perform inspections of lifting equipment, tools, and personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Participate in material handovers between ENERCON, clients, and subcontractors
- Contribute to continuous improvement of material management processes
- Support the warehouse team during slower periods
- Apply and enforce health and safety regulations
- Perform any other related duties based on project needs
- DEP, AEC, or DEC in Electromechanics, Mechanics, or Electrical fields
- Good communication skills in French, both spoken and written
- Functional knowledge of English, both spoken and written, required due to:frequent travel to project sites located in multiple Canadian provinces; regular interactions with teams, clients, and subcontractors outside Québec; technical, logistical, and contractual documentation primarily available in English.
- One (1) to two (2) years of experience on construction or installation sites (industrial, energy, or wind industry environments)
- Knowledge of material and inventory management
- Experience with SAP and the MS Office suite (Excel required)
- Certifications or experience in:
- Forklift operation
- Zoom boom operation
- Rigging
- Inspection of lifting equipment and PPE
- Availability for frequent nationwide travel (Canada coast to coast)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a field-based environment
- Strong team spirit, attention to detail, autonomy, and organizational skills
