We are looking for Full Time and Part Time Front of House (Barista/Cashier) staff who is passionate about pastries & coffee products, and are willing to learn and grow with us!
Front of House responsibilities include educating customers on our pastries, baked goods and drink menu, making recommendations based on their preferences, up-selling special items and taking orders. To be successful in this role, you should have customer service skills, willing to learn, and be able to work various shifts.
Ultimately, you’ll ensure an excellent experience for our guest!
Responsibilities:
· Excellent customer service while up-selling product promotions
· Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
· Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including various types of coffee and tea, and serve our pastries.
· Must possess good attitude, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure/fast paced environment
· Give customers menu recommendations and answer their questions regarding ingredients
· Prepare beverages following recipes
· Receive and process payments (cash and credit cards)
· Keep front of house clean and presentable at all times; Comply with health and safety regulations
· Maintain stock availability (ex. Cups, paper towel, etc)
· Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items
· Assist with other tasks as needed
Experience:
· 1+ Year customer service or barista experience
Ideal Candidate:
· Previous work experience as a Barista/Front of House
· Customer service experience
· Fluent in English, additional languages would be an asset
· Hands-on experience with professional espresso machine, not required but would be an asset
· Flexibility to work various shifts
· Basic math skills
· Ability to gauge customers’ preferences
· Excellent communication skills
· High school diploma; relevant training will be provided
Salary: $17.60 - 19
Additional Pay: Tips
Schedule:
· 4-9 hour shift
· Day to Evening shift
· Monday to Sunday
· Mandatory weekend and holiday availability
