Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced DZ Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial trucks to transport freight and cargo, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with safety regulations. This role offers an opportunity to work with a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment, utilizing various heavy equipment and driving skills to support our logistics operations.
Duties
- Safely operate DZ trucks for local and regional freight deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed, ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo.
- Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle before and after trips, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and overall vehicle condition.
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to maintain vehicle functionality.
- Assist with the operation of heavy equipment required for loading and unloading freight.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and warehouse personnel to coordinate schedules and delivery details.
- Follow all safety procedures related to commercial driving, heavy equipment operation, and freight handling.
Experience
- Valid DZ license with a clean driving record.
- Prior experience in commercial driving, freight transportation, or related fields preferred.
- Knowledge of forklift operation and heavy equipment handling is a plus.
- Familiarity with automotive repair basics is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Proven ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently in various environments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards in all aspects of work.
This position requires a dedicated professional capable of managing multiple responsibilities while prioritizing safety and efficiency on the road and at the job site.
Pay: $20.09-$36.61 per hour
