As an nurse in our clinic you work along the the rheumatologist seeing patient during followup visits. You assess the patient first, for the following:
- Reviewing how the patient has been since their last visit (e.g. how their arthritis is)
- Update the chart (reviewing any new diagnoses, updating medication list)
- Entering labs into the chart (all charts are on EMR Plexia)
- Checking vitals (blood pressure and weight)
- Educate on rheumatolgy diagnosis
- Overall health promotion
- Helping with special authority form completion for advanced therapeutics
- Entering data into the chart, and also giving a brief update to the physician
Requirements:
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team
- Ability to communicate effectively (both orally and in writing)
- Ability to effectively/efficiently use an electronic medical record system
- You are not expected to have prior education in the field of rheumatology. Training specific to rheumatologic diseases and frequently used medications will be provided.

Hours:
- This position is part time. The days that are needed are Mondays (8-3:30pm), occasional Tuesdays (8-3), Wednesdays (8-5pm), Thursdays (8am-4:30pm), Fridays (8am-12pm)*this may be work from home some days). The doctors schedules do change based on hospital call, and there are times when clinics may not be required or will finish early. PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU CAN WORK DURING THE SPECIFIED TIMES EVERY WEEK.
Wages:
- Wages are based on level of experience.
- Extended health benefits are NOT provided.
