Yates Whitaker Private Wealth coordinates all aspects of your family's personal and corporate wealth. Our innovative process unites the advice or your accountant with the expertise of our wealth management professionals to design and execute a goal-focused financial plan our clients can be confident in, all while providing continual accountability and transparency. We are currently a team of three and we are located right off the University of Alberta campus in the Garneau Neighbourhood.
We are currently looking for a permanent full time Certified Financial Planner (CFP) to join our team. If you are client services oriented, personable, analytical and very detail-oriented, this just may be the role for you. We are looking for an individual who has worked in a professional services/corporate environment with clients, is tech savvy, entrepreneurial, innovative, and forward thinking. This is an in-office position, as being present for walk in and existing clients is key.
Your Responsibilities will include:
- Networking and meeting with potential clients new to the world of financial planning
- Collaborating with and coordinating meetings/events with the Client Experience Coordinator
- Analyzing client financial data and preparing financial plans
- Providing plans and recommendations to President/Head of Planning & Wealth
- Liasing with internal clients and stakeholders
- Attending meetings with the President/Head of Planning & Wealth
- Working independently, but also as a member of the team
- Researching and staying current on any financial regulations and software
- Other tasks as they arise
Your Attributes:
- A Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation or a Chartered Professional Accountant currently in the CFP program
- A professional individual with exceptional client service and relationship building skills
- Exceptional communication, analytical, time management and organizational skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Several years of experience working in a professional services and/or corporate environment
- Proficient in using CRMs (such as or similar to Zoho), online planning programs (Conquest or SNAP)
- A Chartered Life Underwriter and/or Chartered Investment Manager designations would be an asset
