Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Truck Dispatcher to coordinate and manage freight transportation operations. The ideal candidate will utilize transportation management systems and other industry tools to ensure efficient dispatching, maintain communication with drivers and clients, and support the overall supply chain process. This role is vital in ensuring timely deliveries, optimizing routes, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on logistics, shipping, and receiving operations.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily dispatch of trucks using transportation management systems and SyteLine software to optimize routes and delivery schedules.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and warehouse personnel via multi-line phone systems, ensuring clear and professional phone etiquette.
- Enter data accurately into systems such as AS400 and other freight management platforms to track shipments, schedules, and delivery statuses.
- Monitor freight movements, troubleshoot issues, and provide real-time updates to stakeholders.
- Manage shipping & receiving documentation, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Analyze transportation data to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements within the supply chain.
- Collaborate with 3PL providers and internal teams to coordinate logistics activities seamlessly.
- Maintain detailed records of dispatch activities, driver logs, and shipment details for reporting purposes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with Avaal Express, Samsara and similar devices.
- Strong understanding of supply chain logistics, freight operations, and shipping & receiving procedures.
- Excellent communication skills with professional phone etiquette and the ability to handle multi-line phone systems effectively.
- Proficient in data entry with strong typing skills; attention to detail is essential.
- Analytical skills to interpret logistics data and optimize dispatch processes.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
- Prior experience working with 3PL providers or in freight coordination is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently across various responsibilities.

Pay: $16.75-$30.82 per hour
