Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Auto/Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of semi-trucks, trailers, and heavy-duty diesel equipment. Duties include engine diagnostics, brake systems, air systems, suspension, steering, electrical troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and safety inspections.
The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently. Experience using diagnostic equipment, maintaining accurate service records, ordering parts, and communicating effectively with customers is an asset. A commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and minimizing equipment downtime is essential.
Compensation
Competitive wage negotiable based on experience, qualifications, and certifications.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on automobiles, heavy-duty trucks, and industrial equipment such as excavators.
- Conduct electrical troubleshooting and repairs using schematics and wiring diagrams
- Operate heavy equipment safely during maintenance or repair procedures
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized tools to complete repairs
- Perform routine inspections to identify potential issues before breakdowns occur
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used
- Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards
- Assist with assembly or disassembly of machinery as needed
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair needs clearly and efficiently

Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour
