Riverpark Properties Ltd. has been providing third-party property and asset management services for owners of commercial real estate since 2003. Riverpark is based in Calgary, Alberta and currently manages a portfolio of 2,300,000 square feet of office, industrial and retail properties in Calgary, Edmonton, Red Deer and Airdrie.
We are currently looking for an experienced Property Accountant to join our accounting team. In this role you will be joining a team of accounting professionals that are responsible for the financial management of approximately 50 office, industrial and retail properties. Working together, our accounting team provides accurate and timely information for both our internal teams and our clients.
Position Summary:
This position will interact with coworkers of all levels throughout the company. We are looking for someone with strong technical commercial real estate accounting knowledge and great communication skills. Proficiency with Office and Excel is a must-have.
Core Responsibilities:
- Full cycle accounting for a portfolio of properties, including variance analysis and reporting
- Annual budgeting and year-end CAM recoveries
- Cash management, bank reconciliations and client distribution calculations
- Prepare and file GST filings, annual CAM audit and financial year-end audit working papers
- Tenant and lease setups
- Perform ancillary administrative duties such as posting bank receipts and filing accounting records
