We are actively interviewing Crane Service Technicians for our client who is in need of a candidate for projects in both the Kamloops and Greater Vancouver areas.
Someone with a strong Electrician or Millwright background is required.
Our client is a reputable leading manufacturer and service provider of industrial lifting equipment, including overhead cranes, hoists, and related technologies. They are known for their innovative products, commitment to safety, and exceptional customer service.
As a Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our client's state-of-the-art industrial lifting equipment. Your technical expertise and problem-solving skills will be essential in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our clients' machinery.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform regular inspections, maintenance, and repair of industrial cranes, hoists, and related equipment
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with equipment, and implement effective solutions
- Maintain detailed records of all service and repair activities
- Collaborate with the engineering team to identify opportunities for equipment upgrades and improvements
- Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure a safe work environment
Qualifications
- A Journeyman or Red Seal Electrician or Millwright Certificate is preferred
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Service Technician or Maintenance Mechanic
- Experience working on industrial equipment or in a manufacturing industry is an asset
- Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals and schematics
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites as needed
Working Conditions
This is a full-time, permanent position based in Kamloops or Vancouver, BC. The work environment involves both indoor and outdoor settings, and may require some physical labor, such as lifting and maneuvering heavy equipment. A flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends, may be required to accommodate client needs.
Compensation and Benefits
This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $45-53/hour with possible wiggle room, for the right candidate, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and professional development opportunities.
