SUMMARY
While operating a company vehicle, provide parts delivery service on behalf of Mid-Ontario Truck Centre.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Safely, timely, efficiently pickup and delivery of truck parts to body shops, repair shops and vendors.
· In a safe and secure manner load your truck with parts going out for delivery using various equipment provided.
· Pick up returns from shops and document for credit.
· Collect payments from shops as required.
· Maintain relationships with the customers you deliver to.
· Wash and keep clean appearance of delivery vehicles.
· Report vehicle defects to manager.
· Help with sorting of brake shoes cores.
· Keep area around the parts department clean and tidy.
· Communicate customer concerns regularly to shipping/receiving and management.
· Comply with requirements as outlined in the OHSA WHMIS, company handbook and all other company issued memos and policies including appropriate use of required PPE
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
· None for this position.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and or ability required to successfully perform the job.
Education and/or experience
· GED or ACE. Computer literate.
Language Skills
· Good command of English – written and oral.
Mathematical Skills
· Ability to apply basic mathematical skills.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Certificate, Licenses, Registrations
· Valid Ontario Driver’s License.
· Clen Drivers Abstract.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
· The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Position requires ability to stand for long periods of time, stoop, bend, stretch. Occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
· The noise level in the work environment is minor.
