At Little Leaf Interiors, we build beautiful spaces for homeowners, families and real estate investors across Calgary.
From basement developments and legal suites to kitchens, bathrooms and whole-home interior renovations, we take pride in delivering quality work that lasts and is finished with care.
We're looking for a Renovation Assistant to join our growing team. This isn't a role where you'll spend every day just sweeping floors or carrying lumber—you'll work alongside our owner, experienced renovators and various trades, gain hands-on experience and develop practical skills across a wide variety of residential projects.
We care far more about attitude, accountability and a willingness to learn than we do about knowing everything on day one. Around here, that means showing up on time, communicating honestly, taking pride in your work and being willing to ask questions when you don't know something. If you're dependable, enjoy working with your hands, want to improve every day and genuinely care about doing quality work, we'd love to hear from you.
We're not looking for the most experienced applicant. We're looking for the right person.
If you're looking for a highly specialized role where you perform the same task every day, this probably isn't the right fit. Every project is different, and every week brings new opportunities to learn.
What You'll Be Doing
Every renovation project is different, so no two weeks are exactly the same. Depending on the project, you'll assist with tasks such as:
- Framing and backing
- Drywall installation and repairs
- Flooring installation (LVP, laminate, carpet, etc.)
- Baseboard, casing and finish carpentry
- Painting and finishing
- Cabinet, vanity, shower and bath installations
- Material pick-ups and deliveries
- Dump and disposal runs
- Job site preparation, organization and clean-up
- Working alongside the owner, team members and subcontractors to keep projects moving efficiently
You'll be expected to use basic hand and power tools safely and be willing to learn new tools, techniques and renovation skills as your experience grows.
What We're Looking For
You don't need experience in every aspect of residential renovations, but the following are considered strong assets:
- Previous experience in residential construction or renovations.
- Experience with framing, drywall, flooring, painting, finish carpentry, cabinetry or similar renovation work.
- Comfortable and competent using basic hand and power tools safely.
- A basic understanding of construction practices and job-site safety.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow directions while managing multiple tasks.
- Able to work independently when required and as part of a team.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, willingness to learn and a practical problem-solving mindset.
Why Join Little Leaf Interiors?
This is a new role as our company continues to grow, making it an exciting opportunity to join a small team where your contributions have a direct impact.
At Little Leaf Interiors, you'll work alongside the owner, experienced renovators and trusted subcontractors on a wide variety of residential projects. You'll gain hands-on experience across multiple aspects of the renovation process, take on increasing responsibility as your skills develop, and play an important role in delivering high-quality work for our clients.
We're committed to building a team of accountable, professional people who take pride in their work and want to grow with the company.
