We are seeking a talented and personable Hairstylist to join our vibrant salon team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hair styling, excellent customer service skills, and a keen eye for fashion and trends. Responsibilities
- Perform haircuts, styling, coloring, highlights, balayage, and other chemical services (perms, relaxers, etc.)
- Consult with clients to understand their desired look, hair type, and lifestyle needs
- Recommend suitable hairstyles, treatments, and products based on client preferences
- Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized workstation in line with health and safety regulations
- Keep up with current trends, techniques, and industry best practices
- Build and maintain a loyal client base through excellent service and follow-up
- Manage appointment scheduling and time efficiently to stay on schedule
- Educate clients on at-home hair care and retail product usage
- Handle point-of-sale transactions and process payments accurately
- Collaborate with other stylists and salon staff to maintain a positive team environment
Skills
- Proven experience in hair styling, with a strong portfolio of work preferred
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
- Customer service skills that foster a positive salon experience for clients
- Knowledge of sanitation procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Ability to upsell retail products tactfully without pressuring clients
- Creative mindset with an eye for current fashion trends in hairstyling
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Active social media/portfolio presence a plus
Pay: $17.20-$47.73 per hour
