WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Role:
We are seeking a talented Facilities & Maintenance, Lead to join our Facilities team. We are looking for someone with supervisory manufacturing experience and commitment to preventative maintenance & expansion. This role will report to the Facility Maintenance Manager and will be integral to an efficient manufacturing operation.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the maintenance team in performing day to day preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and ongoing production expansion with facility systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex equipment malfunctions, escalating issues when necessary.
- Assist in coordinating external contractors for specialized services, repairs, and facility upgrades.
- Monitor and maintain building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, compressed air, and fire suppression.
- Maintain a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to track & review work orders, maintenance schedules, and equipment history.
- Support in root cause analysis (RCA) efforts for equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain proper inventory levels of critical spare parts and consumables.
- Develop and deliver training for maintenance staff to build technical skills and ensure safe work practices.
- Respond to emergency maintenance issues and support on-call 24/7 operations as needed.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC-based systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Solid understanding of building infrastructure systems including HVAC, compressed air, water, and electrical distribution.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, manuals, and equipment specifications.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with the ability to quickly identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proven leadership and team-building skills with the ability to motivate and develop technical staff.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic project management tools
WHO YOU ARE:
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience
- Legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
- Supervisor Role/Lead Experience.
- Experience in maintenance, manufacturing.
- Experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing industrial machinery.
- Experience with Robotic Automation & PLCs, Control Schematics.
