As a charity igniting the potential in people, we are seeking an Information Technology Technician with strong communication and problem-solving skills to join our IT team. Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, the IT Technician will provide excellent customer support to the YMCA of Owen Sound Grey Bruce (the Association).
Responsibilities:
- Installs and configures hardware and software products and components. Repairs, replaces or decommissions obsolete or damaged hardware.
- Assists in setting up and maintaining users while ensuring a high level of uptime and end user satisfaction. Helps to maintain the Active Directory.
- Assists with a broad range of helpdesk duties, including computer/printer installation and configuration, software use, network access etc.
- Troubleshoots hardware, software and network connectivity issues.
- Assists with the documentation of existing and new processes and configurations.
- Helps organize IT assets and maintains inventory tracking.
- Reports issues and concerns. Recommends changes in policies/procedures to Supervisor.
- Maintains and updates files. Relays changes of information to appropriate employees.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
- Be a minimum of 18 years of age.
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Provide Police Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Checks upon hire and regularly throughout duration of employment.
- Possess a degree or diploma in Computer Sciences or equivalent experience.
- Must possess a valid Ontario Driver’s License and have regular access to a reliable vehicle and provide proof of adequate vehicle insurance.
- Knowledge of Windows Server / Desktop networked environment.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 environment.
- Ability to troubleshoot common computer / network issues.
- Strong interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication skills. Ability to resolve and explain software issues to end users.
- Demonstrated strong administrative and organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing technology, processes and procedures.
- Ability to work individually and collaboratively within a team.
- Possesses a strong service orientation.
- Maintains confidentiality of information related to the Association, members and staff.
- Able to provide 3 professional references.
