Job Type: Part-Time leading to Full-Time
Schedule: Saturdays required

Sandstone Landscaping Supplies is looking for a reliable and customer-focused Customer Service / Order Desk team member to join our business in Penticton, BC.
This position is ideal for someone who is friendly, organized, good with customers, and comfortable taking orders and processing transactions. The role will start as part-time with the potential to lead into full-time for the right person.
The ideal applicant will have experience or knowledge in landscaping, landscape supplies, aggregates, soil, mulch, blocks, or similar materials. This is a busy, hands-on workplace, so applicants should also be physically fit and willing to help where needed.
Job Duties
Responsibilities may include:
- Greeting and assisting customers in person
- Taking customer orders in person and over the phone
- Answering questions about products, pricing, availability, and delivery options
- Processing transactions accurately
- Creating invoices, receipts, and order paperwork
- Communicating orders clearly to yard staff and drivers
- Helping organize customer pickups and deliveries
- Assisting customers with information about aggregate, soil, mulch, blocks, and other landscape supplies
- Keeping the order desk and customer area clean, organized, and professional
- Providing friendly, dependable customer service
- Helping with general business needs and filling gaps when required
Requirements
- Strong customer service skills
- Good communication skills in person and over the phone
- Organized, mature, responsible, and dependable
- Comfortable using a computer, point-of-sale system, or basic office software
- Able to process payments and transactions accurately
- Willingness to work Saturdays is required
- Physically fit and willing to help where needed
- Ability to work in a busy seasonal environment
- Landscape experience is preferred
- Knowledge of landscape supplies is an asset
- Experience with aggregates, soil, mulch, blocks, or construction/landscaping materials is an asset
Schedule
This position will start as part-time, with the opportunity to lead into full-time for the right person.
Saturday availability is required.
Hours may increase during the busy spring and summer season.

The ideal person for this role is friendly, dependable, organized, and good with customers. They should be able to stay calm and accurate during busy times, communicate clearly with customers and staff, and be willing to learn about landscape products and materials.
