We are currently seeking a Pharmacist to lead the operations of a community pharmacy. The ideal candidate is a motivated, organized, and patient-focused pharmacist who is comfortable dispensing methadone and managing day-to-day pharmacy functions.

Duties
- Supervise pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to policies.
- Oversee medication dispensing processes, ensuring accuracy in medication administration and patient safety.
- Conduct regular audits of pharmacy operations to maintain compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Provide clinical support in areas such as pediatrics and acute care, offering expertise in medication management.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement treatment plans based on medical terminology and patient needs.
- Educate patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and health management strategies.
- Manage inventory levels of pharmaceuticals, ensuring availability while minimizing waste.
- Stay current with advancements in pharmacotherapy and participate in continuing education opportunities.
Skills required
- Licensed Pharmacist in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP).
- Previous experience in a managerial or leadership role in a community pharmacy is preferred.
- Comfortable and experienced in dispensing methadone.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
