Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and technically proficient Technical Sales Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will combine strong sales acumen with a deep understanding of livestock equipment and agricultural practices. This role involves building and maintaining client relationships, providing technical expertise, and driving sales of our innovative livestock equipment solutions to farmers and agricultural businesses.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Engagement: Identify and develop relationships with prospective and existing clients, including livestock producers, farm managers, and agricultural cooperatives.
- Technical Consultation: Provide expert advice on the selection, installation, and maintenance of livestock equipment, tailoring solutions to meet client-specific needs.
- Sales Execution: Develop and present compelling sales proposals, conduct product demonstrations, and negotiate contracts to close deals.
- Market Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor products, and customer needs to identify new sales opportunities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing, product development, and technical support teams to ensure customer satisfaction and product alignment with market demands.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline status using CRM software.
- Travel: Attend industry trade shows, conferences, and client visits as needed
Qualifications
- Education: Candidates with the following qualifications will receive priority consideration. Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, Agricultural Engineering, Business, or a related field. Equivalent experience in the livestock or agricultural equipment industry.
- Experience:
- 2+ years of sales experience, preferably in agricultural equipment, livestock systems, or a related technical field.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with livestock equipment such as automated feeding systems, ventilation systems or barn management technologies.
- Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trust with clients.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear, customer-friendly manner.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Other: Willingness to travel and work flexible hours to accommodate client schedules.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
