Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Cross Border Dispatcher to join our logistics team. This role is essential in coordinating cross-border freight shipments, ensuring seamless communication between carriers, customs, and clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, proficiency with transportation management systems, and a solid understanding of supply chain operations. Responsibilities
- Coordinate and monitor cross-border freight shipments to ensure timely delivery.
- Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) and SyteLine to schedule, track, and update shipment statuses.
- Manage shipping & receiving documentation, including customs paperwork and compliance requirements.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, customs brokers, and clients via multi-line phone systems and professional phone etiquette.
- Perform data entry tasks accurately within AS400 and other logistics software platforms such as Freight and Shipping & Receiving modules.
- Analyze shipment data to identify potential delays or issues and implement solutions proactively.
- Collaborate with 3PL providers to optimize supply chain efficiency.
- Maintain organized records of shipments, invoices, and related documentation for audit purposes.
- Assist in problem-solving related to freight discrepancies or delays through effective analysis skills.
Requirements
- Proven experience with transportation management systems and Freight software platforms.
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes, including shipping & receiving procedures.
- Experience working with 3PL providers and managing freight logistics across borders.
- Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy; proficient typing speed.
- Strong analysis skills to interpret shipment data and resolve issues efficiently.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with professional phone etiquette in multi-line phone system environments.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of customs regulations and cross-border shipping requirements is preferred. Pay: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
