Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Kitchen Manager to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising kitchen staff, ensuring food safety standards, managing food preparation and cooking processes, and maintaining a high level of hospitality. Previous experience with food handling, POS systems such as Micros POS, and restaurant operations is essential. A background in hospitality, hotel management, or barista experience is a plus. The Kitchen Manager will play a key role in fostering a positive team environment while ensuring operational excellence.
Duties
- Supervise daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure quality standards are met.
- Oversee food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations and sanitation standards.
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and coordinate with vendors to maintain stock.
- Lead and motivate kitchen staff through effective team management, including interviewing, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
- Handle cash handling responsibilities and operate POS systems such as Micros POS accurately during service.
- Ensure excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving any issues promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in accordance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless restaurant operations and guest satisfaction.
- Monitor food costs, waste management, and overall operational efficiency to optimize profitability.
- Assist in developing menus or specials in collaboration with culinary staff when needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant management or food service leadership roles; supervising experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling safety standards.
- Familiarity with Micros POS or similar POS systems; cash handling experience required.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and foster a positive work environment.
- Background in hospitality or hotel industry is advantageous; barista or food industry experience is a plus.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues professionally.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation procedures.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments effectively.

Pay: $40,641.51-$56,300.50 per year
