POSITION: Material Handler (Hensall Food Inc.) LOCATION: Exeter
Hensall Foods is currently looking for a hard working, dynamic individual to join our team in the role of Material Handler. The Material Handler is responsible for a variety of duties, including loading, unloading, and moving products and materials to the designated locations in the warehouse, and assisting in picking and placing materials orders. The Material Handler is also accountable for checking received orders and confirming that all inventory transactions are completed and documented in the electronic inventory control program. The Material Handler should be experienced with a forklift and a pallet truck.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Load, unload, and move products and materials by hand or equipment including forklift
- Assist in taking inventory and weighing/checking materials
- Assemble customer orders and prepare for shipping, including stacking, wrapping, and labelling products
- Pick material from the storage locations and stage them for production, maintaining electronic traceability
- Use a handheld scanner to complete transactions and document the electronic inventory control program
- Assist periodic inventory counts for raw and finished products
- Receive incoming materials, store them properly and ship finished products
- Follow all HC Health and Safety (especially wearing proper cooler/freezer related PPE’s), Environmental, Quality and HACCP policies and procedures
- Report all potential quality and food safety issues to the HFI management
- All other duties as assigned by Logistics and/or Production Manager
Job Requirements:
- Occasionally working in a freezer and a cooler during the shift
- Able to operate a manual and an electric pallet truck
- Must be able to carry and move equipment and/or supplies more than 50 pounds
- Highly motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision
- Detail oriented and analytical thinker
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Customer service and interpersonal skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Computer skills, including MS Word, Excel etc.
- Team-oriented and ability to collaborate with all departments
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Minimum of 2 years experience working as a material handler in a warehouse/shipping environment
