Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by preparing patients, assisting during procedures, and ensuring a smooth workflow within the office. This role requires excellent communication skills, familiarity with dental software, and a compassionate approach to patient care. Experience with Epic, Dentrix, or CAD systems is a plus, along with knowledge of orthodontics and pediatrics. The Dental Assistant will play a vital role in delivering high-quality dental services in a friendly and professional environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments to maintain a safe and efficient clinical environment
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, including orthodontic treatments and pediatric dentistry
- Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when necessary
- Provide patients with instructions for oral care and post-treatment procedures
- Manage patient records accurately using dental software such as Dentrix or Epic
- Ensure patient comfort and address any questions or concerns during visits
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinical area in compliance with health regulations
- Support front desk duties as needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
Skills
- Proficiency in dental assisting techniques with a strong understanding of medical terminology
- Experience with dental software platforms such as Dentrix or Epic is highly desirable
- Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures
- Familiarity with CAD systems for imaging or modeling purposes is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, including children
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accurate recordkeeping and sterilization processes
Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
