Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier/Gas Attendant to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional customer service, handling transactions accurately, and maintaining an organized checkout area. This role offers an opportunity to develop sales skills, engage with diverse customers, and contribute to a positive shopping experience. Bilingual abilities and experience with technology sales or product demos are a plus.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases using POS systems
- Process transactions accurately, including cash handling, credit card payments, and mobile payments
- Pump Fuel, provide product information and perform product demos when necessary
- Upsell items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure the checkout area is clean and inviting
- Answer customer questions via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Manage time effectively during peak hours to minimize wait times
- Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service preferred but will provide training
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Familiarity with POS systems is preferred but will provide training
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Professional phone etiquette and strong interpersonal skills
- Experience in merchandising, upselling is preferred but will provide training
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends if required
- Own vehicle is required
