River Valley School's Before and After School program (RVS Kids Club) is looking for individuals who love working with children aged 3-12 years, to join our Before and After School program care team Monday to Friday. We have multiple shifts available (split shifts Morning and Afternoon, or just Afternoons - (6:45-8:15 am & 3:00 - 6:00 pm). Staff will have the opportunity to work full time during the two weeks at Spring Break. If you love working in a friendly, happy community this is the place for you! Located in Bowness, Calgary this is a perfect job for students attending Bow Valley College, Mount Royal University or U of C.
RVS Kids Club Child Caregivers establish learning environments wherein students feel physically, psychologically, socially, and culturally secure. They are respectful of students’ human dignity, and seek to establish a positive professional relationship with students that are characterized by mutual respect, trust and harmony.
RVS Kids Club Child Caregivers work directly and in partnership with the RVS Kids Club Program Coordinator to ensure an effective Before and After School environment.
Duties and Responsibilities of RVS Kids Club Child Caregivers:
- Maintain daily open communication with parents
- Maintain confidentiality
- Arrange a classroom environment in accordance to program goals and philosophy
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment
- Encouraged to contribute to curriculum planning
- Meet all applicable licensing regulations
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
Requirements:
1. Experience working with children
2. Must have Alberta Child Care license or willing to obtain.
3.First Aid and CPR
4. Police Check 5. Available to start in September.
