SAF International is a Canadian registered charity serving children and families across India and Nepal through education, community development, humanitarian relief, and Sikh awareness initiatives.
We are looking for a strong writer and communicator who enjoys turning meaningful work into compelling stories that inspire donors and supporters.
This is not a typical marketing job.
Every week you'll help tell stories about children receiving an education, families rebuilding after disasters, volunteers making an impact, and communities experiencing lasting change.
If you enjoy writing, organizing information, interviewing people, creating social media content, and working alongside a passionate team, we'd love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute targeted communication campaigns to engage current and prospective donors
- Assist with annual reports, impact reports, donor emails and fundraising campaigns
- Create compelling content for donor newsletters, social media, website and other outreach channels
- Develop annual communication plan & coordinate photography and video requests
- Maintain consistent branding across all platforms.
- Schedule social media posts, monitor engagement and recommend improvements.
- Assist with campaign launches and media releases & public announcements.
Experience
- Proven experience in marketing, communications, or related roles, preferably within nonprofit or charitable organizations.
- Highly organized, can work on multiple projects without constant supervision
- Familiarity with digital tools & CRM platforms such as Mailchimp, Canva etc.
- Strong understanding of marketing principles, including digital marketing strategies and content creation
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with keen attention to detail
Panjabi language proficiency and familiarity with Sikh culture are strong assets.
