The Alberta Mortgage Brokers Association (AMBA) seeks an Events & Sponsorship Coordinator to join our high-performing, dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience as an event coordinator and a proven relationship-building record.
Reporting to the Manager of Events & Sponsorship, this role is responsible for assisting with the development, production, and delivery of our annual events and supporting the ongoing development and coordination of our sponsorship program. Top candidates will have at least three years of experience in event coordination, experience supporting sponsorship programs, and relevant education in event management or hospitality. Experience working with committees, managing stakeholders, or in a non-profit or member-based organization, is an asset.
Key Role Accountabilities
- Support the development, planning, and execution of AMBA’s annual events calendar, ensuring seamless delivery across all stages.
- Coordinate event logistics including venues, vendors, registration, communications, and onsite execution.
- Act as a key point of contact for event partners, suppliers, sponsors, and attendees, maintaining strong and professional relationships.
- Assist in developing event concepts, themes, and attendee experiences that enhance engagement and value.
- Manage event registration processes and communications, ensuring a smooth and professional participant experience.
- Support onsite event execution, including setup, production support, and post-event wrap-up.
- Assist in the development and delivery of sponsorship programs, including package creation and fulfillment tracking.
- Prepare, track, and manage sponsorship contracts, invoices, and deliverables to ensure accuracy and completion.
- Maintain organized systems and tools (e.g., Asana, registration platforms, tracking documents) to support event and sponsorship operations.
- Collaborate closely with the Communications team to align on event promotion, messaging, and social media execution.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of event processes, systems, and overall attendee and sponsor experience.
- Support internal teamwork and collaboration by contributing positively to team culture and shared goals.
Working Conditions & Physical Demands:
- This role requires hands-on participation in all aspects of event execution, including setup, on-site management, and teardown.
- Must be able to safely lift and transport event materials and equipment and perform repetitive physical tasks as required.
- Must be comfortable standing, walking, bending, reaching, and moving throughout event venues for extended periods, often in fast-paced environments and outside regular business hours.
Compensation
Salary range: $55,000–$70,000 annually, based on experience.
