Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Gardener to join our team and help maintain the beauty and health of our outdoor landscapes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for gardening and horticulture, with experience in landscape maintenance and irrigation systems. This role involves performing routine upkeep, planting, trimming, and ensuring the overall aesthetic appeal of our grounds. The Maintenance Gardener will work outdoors in various weather conditions, contributing to a welcoming and well-maintained environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, pruning, and planting
- Use hand tools and power tools to maintain lawns, shrubs, trees, and flower beds
- Install, repair, and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants and lawns
- Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and other treatments to promote healthy growth
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and ensure safety procedures are followed
- Assist with seasonal planting and landscaping projects as needed
- Monitor plant health and identify issues requiring attention or professional intervention
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools such as pruners, shovels, rakes, and hoes
- Experience operating power tools including trimmers, blowers, and lawn mowers
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices and horticulture principles
- Strong gardening skills with an understanding of plant care and soil management
- Familiarity with irrigation systems installation and troubleshooting
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
- Good physical stamina for lifting, bending, digging, and standing for extended periods
- Attention to detail and a passion for creating beautiful outdoor spaces
Pay: $25.00-$29.00 per hour
