Food Service Assistant – Events and Kitchen Prep
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Food Service Assistant to support our events and kitchen operations. This role involves assisting with meal preparation, food handling, and ensuring smooth food service during various events. Duties
- Assist with basic food preparation portioning,packaging,and on-site final assemly
- Serve food to guests in a professional and friendly manner
- Handle food safely, adhering to all health and safety regulations
- Support basic food preparation and presentation to ensure quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, utensils, and serving stations
- Help with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene
- Collaborate with team members to deliver efficient and courteous service during busy periods
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food service, restaurant, or catering environments is preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper handling procedures
- Strong serving skills with excellent customer service attitude
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Kitchen experience or background in the food industry is a plus
- Good communication skills and teamwork orientation
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to meal prep and service
