Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker (PSW) to provide high-quality care to an elderly couple in need of assistance within their home every Saturday from 9AM to 9PM. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting them with daily activities and ensuring their safety and well-being. The role requires a caring attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to adapt to each client’s unique needs including dementia support.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and mobility support
- Provide medication administration as prescribed and monitor health status
- Serve meals and assist with feeding if necessary
- Support clients with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry to maintain a safe and comfortable environment
- Offer companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
- Assist with mobility and transfers using proper techniques to ensure safety
- Document care provided and communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals
- Follow care plans meticulously and report any changes in health or behavior promptly
Requirements
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care settings is required
- Experience working with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring dementia care is required
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and safety procedures
- Compassionate nature with excellent caregiving skills and patience
- Ability to perform light cleaning and meal preparation tasks efficiently
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- PSW Certification or training in caregiving or related fields is required
- Must be reliable, responsible, and committed to providing respectful, person-centered care
- Must provide Social Insurance Number (S.I.N)

Pay: $30.00 per hour
