Job Summary
The snow removal worker clears snow and ice using backpack blower, snow blower, and shovels. The position will require work during or immediately after winter storms within the hours of 7 am and 10pm.
- Clear Surfaces: Shovel sidewalks, steps, and doorways; operate snow blowers, backpack blowers on driveways.
- May include application of de-Icer: Spread salt, sand, or chemical melting agents on walkways and paved surfaces to prevent ice buildup.
- Equipment Maintenance: Inspect, refuel, and perform routine daily checks on equipment and trucks before and after use.
- Safety Compliance: Follow strict safety rules around traffic, pedestrians, and parked vehicles.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy loads (such as bags of salt) and perform strenuous physical labor in extreme cold for long hours.
- Flexible Schedule: Availability to work irregular hours, early mornings, weekends, and holidays depending on weather events.
- Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license and clean driving records is required.
- Experience: Prior experience operating snow removal machinery or public works equipment is preferred.
- Willingness too work outside for long durations is a must.
This position may transition into spring and summer work with possibility of advancement to greater roles and responsibility in the future of the company.
Pay: $20.00-$26.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 20.0 per week
