Grading Foreman

We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on Grading Foreman who leads by example and takes pride in delivering quality work. This is a key leadership role on our civil construction team, where you’ll be responsible for preparing high-quality surfaces for asphalt paving on municipal and commercial projects across the Calgary area.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and work alongside your grading crew to prepare bases for asphalt paving
- Plan and coordinate daily manpower, equipment, and materials to hit production targets
- Oversee grading operations to ensure quality, accuracy, and efficiency
- Utilize Topcon GPS systems to achieve precise grades (experience is an asset)
- Conduct daily safety meetings and promote a strong safety culture on site
- Coordinate with Project Managers, superintendents, and inspectors
- Mentor and develop crew members while maintaining high standards of workmanship
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Grading Foreman
- Strong experience with grading and asphalt base preparation
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, grades, and schedules
- Valid certifications: CSTS 2020, Ground Disturbance, Standard First Aid, and Flagger
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract
- Physically fit and willing to work long hours and weekends when needed
