Community Concierge Full-Time
Westwood Group is seeking a friendly, service-oriented Community Concierge to support our residents and enhance the overall community experience during our busiest periods.
As one of Halifax's premier mixed-use communities, Richmond Yards offers a vibrant environment where residents, businesses, and community come together. This role serves as a welcoming presence within the property, providing exceptional customer service, supporting Resident Managers, and helping ensure the smooth operation of our buildings and amenity spaces during evenings and weekends.
This position is ideal for someone with experience in hospitality, hotels, recreation, customer service, or property management who enjoys working with people and takes pride in creating a safe, welcoming, and engaging community.
Position Summary
The Community Concierge serves as the primary point of contact during evenings and weekends, responding to resident inquiries, conducting regular property walks, securing amenity spaces, and providing support to residents, guests, and visitors. During quieter periods, the role provides light administrative support to the Operations and Property Management teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist residents, guests, and visitors.
- Respond to general resident inquiries and requests.
- Foster a welcoming and professional atmosphere throughout the community.
- Support resident engagement initiatives and community events.
- Assist with move-ins and move-outs, as required.
- Answer resident calls and respond to non-emergency concerns.
- Respond to lockouts and amenity-related issues.
- Address noise complaints and disturbances in a professional manner.
- Escalate maintenance emergencies to the on-call team when required.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents and resident requests.
- Conduct regular walks of the buildings and grounds.
- Monitor the condition of common areas and amenity spaces.
- Ensure amenity spaces are secured and closed in accordance with established procedures.
- Report maintenance concerns, safety issues, and unusual activity.
- Coordinate access for contractors and service providers, when required.
During quieter periods, provide light administrative support to the Operations and Property Management teams, including:
- Resident communications and follow-up.
- Preparation of move-in packages and notices.
- Work order follow-up and updates.
- Record keeping and reporting.
- Maintaining logs and tracking resident requests.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality, concierge services, customer service, recreation, hotels, or property management is considered an asset.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
- Comfortable working independently and exercising sound judgment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and mobile technology.
- Ability to walk the property and perform regular building rounds.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends.
Schedule
This position follows a regular schedule designed to provide evening and weekend support to residents and the Richmond Yards operations team
- Thursday: 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm
- Friday: 3:00 pm – 12:00 am
- Saturday: 2:00 pm – 12:00 am
- Sunday: 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm
(35 hours per week)
