Visionary Music Academy (VMA) is a growing music school in Toronto dedicated to helping children, teens, and adults discover their creativity through music.
We're looking for enthusiastic, friendly volunteers to join our Community Ambassador Team. If you enjoy meeting people, being out in the community, and making a positive impact, this is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in marketing, community engagement, and the arts while helping families discover music education.
This isn't about simply handing out flyers.
It's about starting conversations, building relationships, and helping someone take the first step toward discovering their passion for music.
What You'll Do
As a Community Ambassador, you'll represent Visionary Music Academy throughout Toronto by:
- Engaging with families, students, and community members in a friendly, authentic way
- Sharing information about VMA's music lessons, workshops, and programs
- Distributing flyers and promotional materials in high-traffic neighbourhoods
- Supporting local community events, festivals, performances, and outreach initiatives
- Helping identify new partnership opportunities with schools, libraries, recreation centres, and local businesses
- Capturing photos and short videos for social media (optional)
- Providing feedback on what you're hearing from families and the community
Who We're Looking For
You don't need marketing experience.
We're looking for people who are:
- Friendly and approachable
- Comfortable speaking with new people
- Reliable and professional
- Passionate about music, education, or community building
- Positive, energetic, and eager to learn
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
Students studying music, marketing, communications, education, business, or the arts are encouraged to apply, but anyone with a passion for connecting with people is welcome.
