EXPERIENCED CAREGIVERS
Care & Company is a leading provider of in-home care services in Victoria, B.C.
We are committed to providing compassionate, personalized care that helps our clients live independently in their own homes.
Position: Health Care Aide (HCA) / Caregiver
Employment: Part-time (33 hours p/week - guaranteed)
Shifts & Hours: Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays, from 9:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Compensation: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour, based on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Transfer clients using an overhead lift.
- Assist with mobility exercises, including activities in and out of the pool.
- Provide showering, bathing, and toileting assistance.
- Assist with dressing and changing garments.
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding.
- Provide medication assistance (blister packs).
- Change bed linens and assist with laundry.
- Encourage participation in activities such as walking, reading, and arts.
Qualifications:
- Experienced HCA or Caregiver (LPNs are welcome to apply)
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable.
- Physically able to assist with lifting and support clients during pool activities.
- Valid BC driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Willing to provide a Criminal Record Check and professional references.
- First Aid or CPR Level C.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
