Our client is seeking an ambitious, creative Executive Chef with experience in refined dining who is excited by the opportunity to build something truly special from the ground up. This is a hands-on role offering significant creative freedom, with long-term partnership potential for the right individual.
Duties
- Lead all day-to-day kitchen operations within a small, hands-on brigade.
- Design and execute a refined, seasonal menu showcasing the best of Prince Edward County's local producers, farms, wineries, and artisans.
- Continuously evolve the menu to reflect seasonality, creativity, and the property's culinary vision.
- Maintain exceptional standards of food quality, consistency, presentation, and execution.
- Foster a positive, collaborative kitchen culture built on professionalism, mentorship, and continuous learning.
- Source and cultivate relationships with local farmers, producers, foragers, and suppliers.
- Oversee purchasing, inventory management, food cost controls, and kitchen scheduling.
- Collaborate closely with ownership to help shape the property's culinary identity and overall guest experience.
Requirements
- Executive Chef or Senior Sous Chef experience in a Michelin-starred, Relais & Châteaux, or similarly acclaimed fine dining restaurant or boutique hotel.
- Exceptional culinary technique with a passion for seasonal, ingredient-driven cuisine.
- Demonstrated creativity in menu development and a commitment to showcasing local terroir.
- Hands-on leadership style with the ability to inspire and develop a small, high-performing team.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to build something truly special from the ground up.
Pay: $90,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
