Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Early Childhood Educator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for fostering a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs through educational activities and individualized care. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, classroom experience, and a passion for early childhood education. Duties
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
- Create a welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding children's development, behaviour, and upcoming activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues and specialists to support children with special needs or disabilities.
- Ensure health and safety standards are consistently met within the classroom setting.
- Manage classroom routines through effective time management and organizational skills.
Requirements
- In Good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE).
- Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings; experience with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles, special education practices, and classroom management techniques.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with a nurturing approach to teaching young children.
- Experience working with children who have diverse needs or special education requirements is preferred.
Pay: $25.86 per hour
