Overview
Nexco Construction is a heavy civil construction company specializing in site development, excavation and road building. We are growing and looking to expand our team accordingly. Nexco is based out of Dartmouth, NS and completes projects across mainland Nova Scotia and New Brunswick
Responsibilities
- Operate power tools and compaction equipment safely and effectively.
- Use of small equipment such as concrete saw, drills and compactors.
- Shoveling, raking and leveling of materials.
- Loading, unloading and gathering of materials to perform tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills
- Strong physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment.
- Experience with rotary levels and grade checking is considered an asset.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work collaboratively with others.
- Good communication skills to effectively interact with team members and supervisors.
- Attention to detail to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
- Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
