DockFather Dock & Lift Services is looking for a reliable Seasonal Dock & Lift Removal Labourer for the fall removal season.
This is a physically demanding outdoor position removing docks and boat lifts from lake properties throughout Saskatchewan. The job involves travelling with a small crew, working around and in lake water, handling heavy dock and lift components, using hand and power tools, and assisting with loading and unloading equipment.
This is not a typical 8-hour indoor job. Some days can be long depending on travel, weather and the number of scheduled jobs.
Responsibilities
Assist with seasonal removal of FLOE docks and boat lifts
Work in and around lake water during removals
Wear a wetsuit for extended periods throughout the workday
Carry, move, disassemble and organize dock and lift components
Assist with loading and unloading tools, equipment and materials
Use basic hand and power tools safely
Assist with positioning and moving equipment using trailers and side-by-sides
Follow instructions and work efficiently as part of a small crew
Keep tools and work areas organized
Work carefully around customers’ lake properties and equipment
Follow safe lifting and work practices throughout the day
Requirements
Must be physically capable of repetitive lifting and manual labour throughout the day
Must be comfortable wearing a wetsuit for extended periods
Must be comfortable working in cold lake water
Must be comfortable working outdoors in cold, wet and changing fall weather
Reliable and able to show up on time
Able to follow instructions and work well with a small crew
Comfortable with long workdays when required
Mechanical, construction or general labour experience is an asset
Previous dock or boat-lift experience is an asset, but not required
Must be available for the duration of the fall removal season
This position is a good fit for someone who enjoys physical outdoor work, doesn’t mind getting wet or working in colder weather, and is comfortable with long days and travel. Experience is helpful, but reliability, work ethic and the ability to handle physically demanding work are the most important things. Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
