Position Summary
Stacked Pancake & Breakfast House is looking for a friendly, energetic, and customer-focused Host/Hostess to join our team. As the first and last point of contact for our guests, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring every guest has an exceptional dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet every guest with a warm, friendly, and professional attitude.
- Manage the waitlist and provide accurate wait time estimates.
- Seat guests efficiently while balancing server sections.
- Answer incoming phone calls and assist with takeout inquiries and orders.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front entrance.
- Reset and prepare tables quickly to maximize seating efficiency.
- Assist servers with guest needs during busy periods.
- Process guest payments accurately using the POS system.
- Keep the host stand stocked and organized.
- Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and management.
- Follow all company policies, food safety, and health & safety procedures.
- Help maintain cleanliness throughout the dining room and front-of-house areas.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or customer service experience is an asset but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, outgoing, and professional demeanor.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Weekend, holiday, and morning availability is required.
