Lead and coordinate construction crews to complete daily and weekly project activities.
Perform on-site layout using construction drawings and GPS systems.
Operate and utilize GPS equipment for site layout and positioning.
Review contract drawings and identify discrepancies or required changes.
Coordinate drawing-related issues with the field team, Project Manager, and Supervisor.
Coordinate material ordering with the Project Manager and confirm delivery schedules.
Inspect delivered materials and verify quantities against project requirements.
Allocate manpower and equipment effectively to maximize productivity and minimize project costs.
Complete daily reports, timecards, quality inspections, and other required site documentation.
Monitor work progress and ensure activities remain on schedule.
Maintain, clean, and organize equipment, tools, materials, and supplies.
Participate in hands-on labour and site activities when required.
Enforce company, client, and legislated health and safety policies and procedures.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Support quality control and ensure work is completed according to project specifications.
Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.
Work flexible schedules with varying start and finish times.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Previous experience as a Construction Foreman, Excavation Foreman, Earthworks Foreman, or similar field leadership role.
Required: Proven earthworks/excavation experience.
Strong knowledge of excavation, grading, site preparation, and earthworks operations.
Experience leading and coordinating construction crews.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
Experience using GPS systems for construction layout.
Strong understanding of manpower and equipment coordination.
Ability to identify field issues and communicate effectively with Project Managers and Supervisors.
Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Experience completing daily reports, timecards, inspections, and other site documentation.
Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced construction environment.
Willingness to perform hands-on labour when required.
