Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Experienced Labourer to join our construction team. This role requires a versatile individual capable of performing a variety of tasks across different trades, with a strong emphasis on safety, precision, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in construction and related fields, with proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects including concrete finishing, framing, restoration, and installation work.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute project plans
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Assist with concrete forming, finishing, and related masonry tasks
- Install cabinetry, flooring, tiles, and perform carpentry work as needed
- Conduct electrical and plumbing tasks within scope of experience or under supervision
- Perform caulking, painting, and restoration work to ensure quality finishes
- Support masonry activities including bricklaying and concrete work
- Assist with construction estimating and project planning when required
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and productivity
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction or related trades such as carpentry, masonry, or electrical work
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation
- Knowledge of concrete forming, finishing techniques, and flooring installation
- Experience with tile laying, cabinet installation, plumbing, welding, and restoration projects is preferred
- Strong understanding of safety protocols on construction sites
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Valid <PERSON> certification or relevant licensing is advantageous but not mandatory
