Compensation: $150,000 Base Salary + Performance Bonus + Benefits
A successful and growing privately owned group of companies is seeking an accomplished Vice President of Finance (CPA) to join its executive leadership team.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the VP of Finance will provide strategic financial leadership across multiple operating companies, helping drive profitability, improve financial performance, and support long-term growth.
This position is ideal for a seasoned finance executive who enjoys working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment and has experience leading the finance function for privately held businesses.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all financial operations across multiple companies.
- Develop and execute the organization's financial strategy.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cash flow management.
- Prepare consolidated financial statements and executive reporting packages.
- Manage banking relationships, financing, treasury, and working capital.
- Coordinate annual audits, tax planning, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop financial models to support strategic decision-making.
- Evaluate business performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team.
- Support acquisitions, capital investments, and corporate growth initiatives.
- Partner directly with the CEO on strategic planning and business expansion.
Qualifications
- CPA designation is required (CPA, Ontario preferred).
- Minimum 15 years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
- At least 5 years in a senior leadership role as a VP of Finance, Director of Finance, Corporate Controller, or equivalent senior finance leadership position.
- Demonstrated experience overseeing the finances of multiple legal entities or business units.
- Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, treasury, banking relationships, and financial planning.
- Experience with private companies generating significant annual revenue.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic decision-making skills.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
- Experience in construction, restoration, facilities management, property services, or real estate development is considered a strong asset.
