Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated ABA Therapist Assistant to support children with developmental and behavioral challenges. In this role, you will work closely with licensed therapists to implement individualized treatment plans, foster positive behavioral growth, and provide a safe, nurturing environment for children. The ideal candidate is patient, attentive, and passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families.
Duties
- Assist licensed therapists in implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy programs tailored to each child's needs.
- Support children during therapy sessions, encouraging participation and engagement.
- Collect and record data on child behaviors, progress, and responses to interventions accurately and consistently.
- Help maintain a safe and clean environment conducive to therapy activities.
- Support medication administration when trained and authorized, following all safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with children, families, and team members regarding progress and any concerns.
- Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay current with best practices in special education and behavior intervention.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children, particularly those with developmental or behavioral needs, is highly preferred.
- Background in special education or related fields is advantageous.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic patient care procedures is beneficial.
- Experience with data collection methods used in behavioral therapy is a plus.
- Certification or training related to medication administration or patient care is desirable but not required; training will be provided if necessary.
