Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support and supervision to individuals in a residential setting, helping them develop independence and improve their quality of life. The ideal candidate is empathetic, responsible, and experienced in supervising others, with a strong commitment to fostering a safe and nurturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household chores
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to promote residents’ well-being and independence
- Supervise residents during activities, outings, and free time to ensure safety and appropriate behavior
- Implement individualized care plans in collaboration with team members and supervisors
- Monitor residents’ progress and report any concerns or incidents promptly
- Maintain accurate documentation of resident interactions, activities, and progress
- Enforce house rules and safety protocols consistently to create a secure environment
- Support residents in developing life skills through coaching and positive reinforcement
Skills
- Supervising experience is highly desirable, demonstrating the ability to oversee others effectively
- Strong communication skills to interact empathetically with residents, families, and team members
- Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations while providing guidance and support
- Excellent organizational skills for maintaining accurate records and following care plans
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in helping individuals achieve their goals
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs within the residential setting
Pay: $25.00-$29.00 per hour
Licence/Certification:
- Class 4 Licence (required)
