Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Snow Operations Lead to oversee all aspects of snow management during winter seasons. In this vital role, you will coordinate and supervise snow removal activities, ensuring safe and efficient access to properties, pathways, and surrounding areas. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise snow removal teams, assigning tasks and ensuring timely completion of work across designated sites
- Coordinate with contractors and internal teams to develop snow response plans tailored to weather forecasts and site-specific needs
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of snow removal equipment, including plows, salt spreaders, and other machinery
- Monitor weather conditions continuously to anticipate snow events and prepare appropriate response measures
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols during snow operations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Conduct site inspections before, during, and after snow events to assess conditions and verify work quality
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding snow status updates, delays, or safety concerns
Skills
- Proven supervising or leadership experience in outdoor maintenance or construction environments
- Strong knowledge of landscape maintenance practices with a focus on winter operations
- Expertise in irrigation systems, gardening, horticulture, or landscape management is a plus for understanding site-specific needs beyond winter seasons
- Skilled in operating and maintaining snow removal equipment safely and efficiently
- Excellent organizational skills to coordinate multiple teams and respond swiftly to changing weather conditions
- Ability to lead by example with a proactive approach to safety and problem-solving
