Design & Engineering
- Create detailed 3D models & production blueprints using SolidWorks
- Develop concept visuals for customer quotes to enhance clarity & professionalism
- Program CNC machines using SolidWorks CAM & assist with troubleshooting & maintenance
- Collaborate with sales to interpret customer requirements such as handling method, crate entry type, weight distribution, & export compliance into accurate designs
- Partner with production to ensure designs are optimized for fabrication & efficiency
Customer Focused Design
- Collaborate with sales representatives to turn customer needs into practical, protective crate designs
- Use customer-supplied CAD files to design product-specific features, such as blocking, cradles, dunnage, & reusable crate options
- Provide clear visuals & technical input during quoting to help customers understand the value & function of each design choice.
- Balance protection, cost, usability, & manufacturability in every design
Innovation & Automation
- Use Excel/VBA to automate blueprint generation & quote creation
- Build custom tools to improve tracking, production, & delivery workflows
- Collaborate with your teammates to identify inefficiencies & design creative solutions using Microsoft 365 tools like Power Automate, SharePoint, & OneDrive
What We’re Looking For
Required Technical Skills
- Experience creating models, drawings, and production-ready designs in SolidWorks
- Excel skills, including the ability to organize data, support quoting, and improve design workflows
- Comfort with Microsoft 365 & cloud platforms for collaboration, file management, & improvement
Preferred Experience
- Experience with SolidWorks CAM for CNC programming
- Familiarity with SolidWorks Simulation or similar tools for validating design performance
- VBA experience, especially for automating repetitive tasks, reports, or quote-related workflows
- Practical woodworking, construction, or fabrication experience that supports hands-on design decisions
