Aevitas is currently seeking a Class 1 Driver working out of our Maple Ridge, British Columbia location. This position involves the operation of a commercial motor vehicle and the handling and transport of hazardous waste in an environmentally responsible manner. This position does not involve any travel across the Canadian/United States border.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Must be willing to travel interprovincially on an as needed basis.
- Identify, package, label hazardous and non-hazardous materials for transport
- Accurately complete manifests, bills of lading and associated paperwork
- Ensure loads are secure
- Adhere to vehicle weight limits and ensure proper utilization of Aevitas equipment
- Ensure proper placarding of vehicles
- Accurately complete and maintain daily logs, daily vehicle inspections, trip reports, expense reports and other reports as required
- Comply with legal requirements and internal company policies and procedures
- Ensure equipment is mechanically sound and in good working order at all times
- Maintain communication with management, sales and dispatch
- Maintain a courteous and professional attitude towards customers and other employees
- Additional duties as assigned
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations and Other Requirements
- Hold a valid Class 1 British Columbia Driver license
- Must be at least twenty-five (25) years of age
- Legally able to work in Canada
- Successfully complete a criminal records background check
- Must have clean drivers abstract
- Must be willing to participate in a drug and alcohol monitoring program
Education and Experience
- Forklift Experience would be an asset
- Minimum three (3) years experience operating a commercial motor vehicle
- TDG Hazardous waste experience preferred
