Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Sawyer to join our afternoon shift team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cutting quartz, natural stone and porcelain to meet project specifications. This role requires proficiency in operating a cnc saws and as well as a strong understanding of fabrication techniques. The Sawyer will collaborate closely with other team members to ensure high-quality production standards are met.
Duties
- Operate saws and other stone machinery to cut materials according to specifications.
- Utilize CNC machines and AutoCAD software for precise fabrication and building of components.
- Measure and mark materials using hand tools, calipers, and other measuring devices to ensure accuracy.
- Assemble and fabricate stone products, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored after use.
- Safely operate crane and forklifts for material handling within the warehouse environment.
- Follow all safety protocols while operating power tools and machinery.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Sawyer or in a similar role is preferred.
- Proficiency in using CNC machines, AutoCAD, hand tools, calipers, and power tools is essential.
- Experience working in a warehouse setting is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow technical drawings and specifications accurately.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
